Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition: 2019

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Hadn’t done one of these in a while and though tonight would be a perfect night to do a first pour of one if this year’s most heralded releases, the 2019 @fourrosesbourbon Limited Edition Small Batch.

This expression is a blend of 11 (OESV) 15 (OESK & OESV) and 21 (OBSV) year old bourbons. See below for tasting notes ⤵️

👃: Powdered sugar, gingersnaps, orange peel, vanilla extract, dark baking spice

👅: Very viscous - almost creamy - mouthfeel, mid-palate flavor bomb of cherry cordials, molasses, nutmeg, cinnamon, maple syrup, rye spice

🏁: Extremely long, a bit dry, cinnamon, oak tannins, leather

There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best releases of 2019, and one I am so happy I was able to find at retail. I have a feeling this won’t last long.
